Already, the water logging of the main city area including the market area has been resolved to a large extent. Also, the underground pipe drain work from New Bazar Rail Crossing to Batball Square within the city which is currently underway is considered a good initiative by the city dwellers. This will facilitate the drainage of sewage from the city's canals, which will improve the overall drainage situation. Mymensingh City Corporation is moving towards a zero waste city through initiatives such as development of Shambhuganj dumping station, night waste management and modern management of medical waste, waste to electricity etc. Mymensingh City Corporation has also been able to show significant progress in city lighting. In addition to 1327 tons of rice and food aid of 65 lakh rupees from the government and city corporation, he has distributed lakhs of packets of food items among the needy people on his own initiative. Mayor's initiative in providing corona vaccination was commendable. Due to Covid-19 vaccine registration assistance, area and group based vaccination campaign etc. it has been possible to give 2 dose vaccinations to about 95% people in Mymensingh City Corporation area. In healthcare for marginalized communities, one urban maternity hospital and three primary healthcare centers have been set up in 2022. From these centers, the general public including mothers and children are receiving health care at low cost or free of charge. Identification of mosquito hotspots and regular CRUSH programs have resulted in no locally reported dengue patients bitten by Aides mosquitoes in the city. The mayor has implemented some other initiatives to improve the quality of life of marginalized people. Since 2018, 1192 people have been trained in beauty parlor, computer, driving, mobile servicing, etc., education scholarships for 2576 students, nutritional support for 1476 people, health-nutrition counseling and nutrition materials for 312 adolescent girls, tube wells, and road lights for marginalized groups. , Mymensingh City Corporation has provided cooperation by constructing drains, toilets, septic tanks etc.

The square has become a unique architecture commemorating the liberation war and Bangabandhu. Besides, Bangabandhu Gallery has been set up in the town hall. Every day, many visitors get a chance to see Bangabandhu's rare pictures, documentaries, speeches, etc. MCC Mayor said that the honorable Prime Minister has given City Corporation to the people of Mymensingh and we are working to fulfill that dream.
More development would have been possible had it not been for the situation arising from the Corona and Russia-Ukraine war. According to City Corporation sources, Mymensingh City Corporation is working on the construction of a bus and truck stand, children's park, Nagar Bhavan, Graveyard, Cemetery, water treatment plant to make the city a modern and sustainable city. If these initiatives are implemented, it is expected that the expectations of the city dwellers will be fulfilled to a large extent.
